From one of my favorite stories, "Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH". Mrs. Frisby goes to plead her case to the Great Owl.

Impotence Illustration and Best of Ringling!

This was the final thumbnail I chose to work with, and its pretty close to the final. I feel like most of my time went into all the details on the bed canopy. I chose animals that doubled as fertility symbols. Thus the rabbits and the stork at the top. Marie Antoinette's real bed has a golden rooster on the top.
Poor Marie Anotoinette. Imagine having a husband who wouldn't consummate your marriage for 7 years, and a mother breathing down your neck about grandchildren the entire time. Ugh.

And finally, I got a piece into Best of Ringling. Thanks to Gregory Manchess and Irene Gallo, this one is going to be in the 2010 show!
